(CINCINNATI, OH) - Kosuke Fukudome led off the game with a home run and Tom Gorzelanny pitched into the eight inning in his Chicago debut as the Cubs beat the Cincinnati Reds 5-3.
The Cubs broke the game open in the sixth when Koyie Hill hit a two run double and Gorzelanny and Fukudome followed with RBI singles.
Derrek Lee made it 6-0 Cubs with a solo homer in the seventh.
The Reds would get a run back in the eighth on a Joey Votto RBI single and Wladimir Balentien his first hit in a Cincinnati uniform with a two-run homer in the ninth.
The Reds have dropped a season-high eight games in a row.
