(LOS ANGELES, CA) - Russell Martin hit a go-ahead grand slam in the bottom of the sixth as the Los Angeles Dodgers powered their way past the Chicago Cubs 7-2.
The teams traded the lead over the first three innings with Kosuke Fukudome hitting a solo home run for Chicago, his eleventh of the season.
Cubs starter Tom Gorzelanny left after five innings and reliever Angel Guzman gave up singles to Manny Ramirez and Casey Blake before intentionally walking James Loney to load the bases.
Martin hit the first pitch he saw from Guzman and the ball just got over the left centerfield wall to break the game open.
With the loss, the Cubs drop seven games behind first-place St. Louis in the NL Central.
