(WASHINGTON, DC) - Katie Douglas scored eleven of her game-high 24 points in the fourth quarter as the Indiana Fever beat Washington for the third time in twelve days, knocking off the Mystics 87-79 in the Nation’s Capital.
The game was close throughout the first half with Washington holding a 53-50 edge one minute into the third quarter.
Tully Bevilaqua tied the game with a three-pointer as Indiana went on a 19-2 run to take command of the game.
Tamika Catchings added 19 points and nine rebounds with Ebony Hoffman finishing with 15 points as Indiana won its third game in a row to improve to a WNBA best 15-4 on the season.
Douglas had scored more than 30 points in the Fever's two previous games, going for a career-high 34 against Washington last Tuesday in Indianapolis and following that up with a 32-point effort against Connecticut on Thursday night.
Alana Beard led Washington with 23 points with Lindsey Harding adding 22 as the Mystics fall to 10-9.
With the win, Indiana extends its lead in the Eastern Conference to five games over the second-place Mystics.
The Fever host the Chicago Sky on Wednesday night.
