(CARMEL, IN) - Fred Funk shot a final round 65 to cruise to an easy victory at the US Senior Open at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel.
Funk finished the 72-hole event at 20 under par, five strokes ahead of Joey Sindelar.
His 20-under-par total was three strokes better than the tournament record set by Hale Irwin in 2000.
Greg Norman and Russ Cochran finished tied for third at twelve under par while British Senior Open Champion Loren Roberts finished in fifth place, eight shots off the pace.
Roberts, who tied Cochran's course record with a 64 on Sunday, beat Funk in a playoff for the British Senior Open title last week.
Among some of the notables, amateur Tim Jackson, who was the leader after the second round, finished tied for eleventh at six under, Bernhard Langer finished at two under, Irwin completed the tournament at even par and Tom Watson finished at two over.
