(CLEVELAND, OH) - Fausto Carmona picked up his first win since May 14th as the Cleveland Indians defeated the Seattle Mariners 6-1.
Carmona allowed a run on five hits over seven innings, striking out eight to move to 3 and 8.
The lone run Carmona allowed was a solo homer by Ken Griffey junior, the 624th round-tripper of his career.
Jhonny Peralta drove in a pair of runs as the Indians took two of three in the series.
