(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Indians opened a four-game series with Columbus with a 2-1 victory over the Clippers.
Daniel McCutchen threw seven and two-thirds innings of shutout baseball, allowing seven hits while striking out seven to improve to 7 and 2.
Tagg Bozied put the Tribe on the board with a solo home run in the second and Robinzon Diaz would add an insurance run with an RBI single in the seventh.
Columbus would get a run in the ninth, but that would be all as the Clippers lose their fourth game in a row.
Game two of the series is tonight at Victory Field.
