(SANTA ROSA, CA) - IndyCar Series driver Nelson Philippe was released from a northern California hospital on Tuesday and has returned to his home in Miami.
Philippe suffered a broken left foot, a broken right leg and a concussion in a practice crash at Infineon Raceway on Saturday.
Philippe underwent surgery on his left foot while at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
Driver Will Power, who was involved in the accident with Philippe, remains hospitalized in Santa Rosa.
Power suffered fractures to two lumbar vertabrae and a concussion.
Power is expected to be transported to Indianapolis in the next couple of days.
