(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Peyton Manning showed his MVP form as the Indianapolis Colts beat the Philadelphia Eagles 23-15 in a preseason game at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Manning, who was presented with his most valuable player trophy from last season at halftime, played in just the Colts' first three series of the game.
He completed ten of 14 passes for 167 yards, hitting Anthony Gonzalez on a three-yard scoring toss before finding Reggie Wayne on a 74-yard bomb on his final play of the night.
Curtis Painter relieved Manning and completed eleven of 19 passes for 116 yards, but threw the game's lone interception.
The Horseshoes even their preseason record at 1 and 1 as they head to Detroit a week from Saturday to take on the Detroit Lions.
