(NEW YORK, NY) - The New York Mets snapped a three-game losing streak with a 9-0 shutout of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Mets starter Jonathon Niese suffered a season-ending hamstring injury while covering first base and Nelson Figueroa came in and contributed four and a third innings of scoreless pitching as well as a two-run triple.
Angel Pagan and David Wright slammed two-run homers with Pagan driving in four runs as the Mets gained a split in the two-game series.
Kyle Lohse took the loss for St. Louis, allowing five runs on seven hits in just two and two-thirds innings of work to fall to 4 and 7.
