(CHICAGO, IL) - Josh Willingham and Elijah Dukes had huge nights as the Washington Nationals spoiled Carlos Zambrano’s return with a 15-6 pounding of the Chicago Cubs.
Willingham went 4 for 4 with two home runs, six runs batted in and five runs scored.
Dukes added a grand slam and an RBI double, driving in five.
Zambrano, who left his last start on August 1st with back spasms, lasted 4 1/3 innings, giving up eight runs on seven hits.
Zambrano did hit his fourth home run of the season.
Milton Bradley and Jeff Baker also hit solo blasts while Geovany Soto had a two-run double for Chicago.
