(SAN DIEGO, CA) - Kyle Blanks hit a walk-off three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth as the San Diego Padres beat the Chicago Cubs 4-1.
The game was scoreless until the top of the eighth inning when Derrek Lee led off with a triple and scored on a single by Aramis Ramirez.
The Cubs brought in Kevin Gregg to close the game in ninth.
Gregg sandwiched a walk to David Eckstein in between a pair of outs before Chase Headley doubled to score Eckstein from first.
Gregg then issued an intentional walk to Kevin Kouzmanoff before blanks unloaded with his game winner.
It was Gregg's sixth blown save in 29 opportunities as the Padres snapped a four-game losing streak.
