(SAN DIEGO, CA) - Adrian Gonzalez hit a go-ahead solo home run in the fifth and Kyle Blanks added a two-run inside-the-park homer in the eighth as the San Diego Padres beat the Chicago Cubs 6-3.
Derrek Lee gave Chicago a 1-0 lead in the first when he slammed a solo shot off San Diego starter Cesar Carrillo.
The Padres tied the game on a Kevin Kouzmanoff RBI single in the first and took the lead with two runs in the third.
Ryan Dempster drove in a run with a fourth inning single and Alfonso Soriano tied the game with an RBI hit in the fifth.
The Padres will try to sweep the three-game series late tonight.
