(LONG POND, PA) - Rain postponed Sunday’s running of the Pennsylvania 500 Sprint Cup Race at Pocono Raceway.
NASCAR will try to get the race in today with the green flag scheduled for shortly after noon eastern time.
Tony Stewart was awarded the pole when rain washed out qualifying, but Stewart crashed his car during practice on Saturday and will start today's race in a backup car from the back of the field.
Stewart won the first Pocono race this season from the back after crashing in practice seven weeks ago.
Stewart enters with a 192-point lead over Jimmie Johnson in the drivers' points standings.
Johnson, who won the Brickyard 400 last weekend, was scheduled to be honored at the White House today.
That ceremony will be rescheduled.
