(BOSTON, MA) - Mike Lowell capped Boston’s six-run bottom of the third inning with a three-run homer as the Boston Red Sox outslugged the Chicago White Sox 12-8.
JD Drew added a solo home run and Dustin Pedroia went 3 for 4 with a pair of RBI as the Red Sox extend their American League wild card lead to a 1 ½ game over Idle Texas.
Paul Konerko hit a three-run homer and Gordon Beckham added a two-run blast as the White Sox dropped their second game in a row.
