(ALLEN PARK, MI) - Rookie Matthew Stafford and veteran Daunte Culpepper will see equal time as quarterback for the Detroit Lions Saturday afternoon against the Colts.
Lions head coach Jim Schwartz says third-string quarterback Drew Stanton is also expected to play more than a quarter against Indianapolis.
Stafford, the number-one overall pick in last April's NFL draft, is battling Culpepper for the starting job.
Detroit was missing some key players in practice Thursday, including running back Kevin Smith and both projected starting cornerbacks in Phillip Buchanon and Anthony Henry.
