(CHICAGO, IL) - Scott Podsednik hit an RBI single with two out in the bottom of the ninth as the Chicago White Sox defeated the Los Angeles Angels 5-4.
Angels reliever Kevin Jepsen got the first two sox batters out in the bottom of the ninth but allowed a double to Jayson Nix who scored on Podsednik's game-winner.
Gordon Beckham and Carlos Quentin hit solo home runs for the Sox, who move one game behind first-place Detroit in the AL Central with the win.
Bobby Abreu drove in three runs in a losing effort for the Angels.
