(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The IndyCar Series announced Thursday that team Penske driver Will Power has been released from a northern California hospital.
Power was headed to Indianapolis to meet with doctor Terry Trammell to determine the next course of treatment.
Power fractured two lumbar vertebrae and suffered a concussion when he t-boned nelson Philippe's disabled car during a practice session for last weekend's race at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma.
Philippe was released from the hospital earlier in the week and is back home in south Florida after suffering fractures to his left foot, his right leg and a concussion.
