(CHICAGO, IL) - Jody Gerut hit a grand slam and Mike Rivera had a two-run double to lead the Milwaukee Brewers past the Chicago Cubs 7-4.
Gerut's blast off Cubs' starter Randy Wells capped a two-out rally in the fourth inning and put the Brewers ahead to stay.
Chicago would get to within a run with Micah Hoffpauir's two-run double in the fourth, but Rivera would give the Brewers some breathing room with his double in the seventh.
With the win, Milwaukee gets a split in the four-game series.
The Cubs fall nine games behind Idle St. Louis in the NL Central and seven games behind Colorado in the Wild Card Race.
