(HOUSTON, TX) - Mark Derosa homered twice and drove in four runs to lead the St. Louis Cardinals to a 7-3 victory over the Astros in Houston.
Derosa capped the Redbirds' three-run first inning with a two-run double off Astros starter Wandy Rodriguez.
He would add solo shots off Rodriguez in the third and Chad Paronto in the sixth as the Cardinals cut their Magic number for clinching the NL Central to two.
Miguel Tejada and Lance Berkman hit solo homers for the Astros in their first game under Interim Manager Dave Clark.
Houston fired Manager Cecil Cooper before Monday night's game.
