(MUNCIE, IN) - The Ball State Cardinals face the Mean Green of North Texas this evening in their college football season opener.
The Cardinals are coming off a 12 and 2 season in 2008 in which they started 12 and 0 before losing to Buffalo in the MAC Championship Game and Tulsa in the GMAC Bowl.
The success of last season led to Head Coach Brady Hoke leaving for San Diego state and junior quarterback Nate Davis heading to the NFL.
Stan Parrish replaces Hoke as Head Coach while Redshirt freshman Kelly Page takes over for Davis at quarterback.
North Texas went 1 and 11 last season.
