(HOUSTON, TX) - The St. Louis Cardinals are going to have to put off the celebration for at least another game as they were shut out by the Houston Astros 3-0.
Carlos Lee drove in a pair of runs and Miguel Tejada had an RBI single as the Astros snapped a nine-game losing streak.
Bud Norris and three relievers combined on the shutout with Norris moving to 6 and 3 on the season as Houston avoids being swept in the three-game series.
The Cardinals' magic number for clinching the NL Central Title is one.
