(CHICAGO, IL) - Carlos Torres picked up his first Major League win as the Chicago White Sox beat the Crosstown Cubs in a makeup of their Inter-league game that was rained out in June.
Torres allowed five hits over seven innings, striking out six while walking none to improve to 1 and 0.
The White Sox took advantage of two Cubs errors to score three unearned runs off Ryan Dempster, who took the loss to fall to 8 and 8.
Alexei Ramirez, Paul Konerko, AJ Pierzynski and Carlos Quentin hit RBI singles for the Sox.
