(UNDATED) - The college football season gets started for several state schools this week.
Indiana and Ball State open their seasons with Thursday night contests at home.
The Hoosiers host eastern Kentucky in the first Thursday night game ever at Memorial Stadium.
The Hoosiers are coming off a 3 and 9 season in 2008.
The Cardinals play host to the Mean Green of North Texas.
It is the regular season debut of Ball State Head Coach Stan Parrish.
Parrish took over when Brady Hoke left for San Diego state last December and was in charge when the cardinals lost to Tulsa in the GMAC Bowl last January.
