(SAN FRANSISCO, IN) - Jeff Baker hit a two-run home run with two out in the top of the ninth inning to give the Chicago Cubs a 3-2 win over the San Francisco Giants.
The Cubs drew first blood when baker grounded into a double play in the fourth with Micah Hoffpauir scoring from third.
The Giants tied it in the bottom of the fourth when John Bowker hit an RBI double.
Bowker would give San Francisco the lead in the seventh when he hit a solo homer off Chicago starter Ryan Dempster.
That set up Baker's game-winner on a 1-2 pitch off Giants closer Brian Wilson with Derrek Lee on first base.
With the win, the Cubs stay alive in the NL Central race as St. Louis' magic number for clinching the division remains at one.
