(CHICAGO, IL) - Andres Blanco drove in a pair of runs and Derrek Lee homered as the Chicago Cubs defeated the Cincinnati Reds 5-2.
Ted Lilly allowed no runs on six hits in six innings of work to get the win and improve to 12 and 8.
The Reds avoided being shut out when Drew Stubbs hit a two-run single off John Grabow in the ninth.
Homer Bailey pitched into the sixth inning, giving up three runs on nine hits to take the loss and fall to 5 and 5.
The Cubs took two of three in the series and are 9 1/2 games behind St. Louis in the NL Central.
