(CHICAGO, IL) - Randy Wells allowed one unearned runs in six and two-thirds innings of work to lead the Chicago Cubs past the Houston Astros 4-1.
Milton Bradley put Chicago on the board with a solo homer in the fourth with Koyie Hill adding an RBI single in the fifth and Aramis Ramirez stroking a run-scoring single in the sixth.
Chris Coste drove in Houston's lone run with a groundout in the seventh before Kosuke Fukudome capped the scoring with an RBI double in the eighth.
Wells allowed seven hits in improving to 10 and 7.
Brian Moehler took the loss for the Astros, falling to 8 and 10.
