(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Fever are in the WNBA’s Eastern Conference finals for the third time after eliminating the Washington Mystics on Saturday night at Conseco Fieldhouse.
The Fever will now face their long-time nemesis, the Detroit Shock, for the right to advance to the WNBA finals.
Indiana has faced Detroit in each of the past three postseasons, being eliminated by the Shock each time.
The defending league champions took a while to get their bearings under new Head Coach Rick Mahorn, winning nine of their final eleven regular season games before sweeping Atlanta in the first round.
Game one is Wednesday night at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
