(MOTEGI, JAPAN) - The IndyCar series is back in action this weekend as they compete at twin ring Motegi in Japan.
History was made at last year's Motegi event as Danica Patrick became the first woman to win a race in a major open-wheel series.
It remains Patrick's lone IndyCar series win.
Friday night's race is the next-to-last event on the schedule with three drivers competing for the IndyCar series title.
Team Penske's Ryan Briscoe holds a 25-point lead over Ganassi racing's Dario Franchitti with Franchitti's teammate, defending series champion Scott Dixon, 33 points behind Briscoe.
