(RICHMOND, VA) - NASCAR is at Richmond International Raceway in Virginia for Saturday night’s Chevy Rock-and-Roll 400. Practice and qualifying are scheduled for this afternoon.
Saturday's race is the final one in NASCAR's "regular season" as the top twelve at the end of the race will make the chase for the Sprint Cup.
Four drivers Tony stewart, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Denny Hamlin have already clinched a spot in the chase.
Eleven drivers are still mathematically alive for the remaining eighth berths.
Matt Kenseth is currently twelfth in points.
He holds a 20-point lead on 13th-place Brian Vickers and a 37-point advantage on 14th-place Kyle Busch.
