(CINCINNATI, OH) - Paul Janish hit three doubles with the last one driving home the winning run in the seventh inning as the Cincinnati Reds edged the Houston Astros 5-4.
Janish's opposite-field double off Houston reliever Sammy Gervachio scored pinch-runner Bronson Arroyo from second base as the Reds won their sixth-game in a row at home and sent the Astros to their third-straight loss.
Scott Rolen drove home a pair of runs and Drew Stubbs hit his sixth home run of the season for Cincinnati.
Houston starter Roy Oswalt did not figure in the decision.
Oswalt is 23 and 1 lifetime against the Reds, but has no wins and four no-decisions against Cincinnati this season.
