(CINCINNATI, OH) - The Cincinnati Reds swept a day-night doubleheader from the Pittsburgh Pirates, winning the opener 4-3 and taking the nightcap 6-3.
Drew Stubbs led off the bottom of the first for Cincinnati with a solo homer, but the Reds needed a wild pitch in the ninth to get the win in game one.
Darnell McDonald scored the winning run when Jesse Chavez uncorked a wild one pitching to Stubbs.
In game two, Stubbs added his second home run of the day, a two run shot, with Brandon Phillips hitting a solo blast and driving in two.
Johnny Cueto, who came off the disabled list to start the second game, allowed a run on three hits in five-plus innings of work to improve to 9 and 10.
The Pirates have lost five games in a row.
