(CHICAGO, IL) - Nick Blackburn and two relievers combined on the shutout as the Minnesota Twins blanked the Chicago White Sox 7-0.
Blackburn allowed eight hits over seven innings to even his record at 11 and 11.
Orlando Cabrera drove in two runs for the Twins, who pulled to within two and a half games of Idle Detroit in the AL Central.
The Sox fall seven games behind the first-place Tigers in the division.
It was not all good news for Minnesota as Centerfielder Denard Span left after being hit in the head by a pitch from Chicago reliever Randy Williams.
