(SEATTLE, WA) - AJ Pierzynski hit a go-ahead two-run single in the seventh inning as the Chicago White Sox beat the Seattle Mariners 6-3.
Ken Griffey junior put Seattle ahead with a solo homer in the second inning.
The Mariners led 3-0 in the fourth when Mark Kotsay drew Chicago to within a run with a two-run double off Seattle starter Ian Snell.
Paul Konerko drove Pierzynski home with an RBI double in the seventh and Chris Getz added an insurance run in the eighth when he scored on a wild pitch.
Freddy Garcia allowed three runs on seven hits over six innings to get the win, evening his record at 2 and 2.
The Sox are 5 1/2 games behind the Tigers in the AL Central.
