(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - IndyCar Series driver Will Power will not require surgery on his broken back.
Power fractured four vertebrae in a practice crash at Infineon Raceway on August 22nd when his car hit the disabled vehicle of Nelson Philippe.
Power also suffered a concussion and a chipped tooth in the accident while Philippe broke his left foot, his right leg and also suffered a concussion.
Power has been fitted for a brace and is expected to need four months to recover.
