(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Fever can claim their first championship tonight when they face the Phoenix Mercury in game four of the best-of-five WNBA Finals.
The Fever took a two-games-to-one lead with their 86-85 victory on Sunday evening at Conseco Fieldhouse.
Indiana has received a huge boost in the first three games by the play of forward Ebony Hoffman. Hoffman leads the finals in scoring at more than 20 points per game and has hit almost 71 percent of her shots from the field during the series.
Hoffman also made the key plays in game three, scoring the go-ahead basket with 57 seconds left and blocking Tangela Smith's last-second jumper to clinch the win.
A Mercury victory tonight would force a decisive game five Friday night in Phoenix.
