(ATLANTA, GA) - The Indiana Pacers open the 2009-2010 regular season tomorrow night when they face the Atlanta Hawks in Atlanta.
The Pacers are coming off back-to-back 36-and-46 seasons under third-year Head Coach Jim O'Brien as the Blue-and-Gold look to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2006.
Injuries were a problem for Indiana during the pre-season and it does not look like first-round draft pick Tyler Hansbrough will make his Pacers debut against the Hawks.
The 13th overall selection in last June's draft has been sidelined by a shin injury.
Guard Mike Dunleavy will also start the season in street clothes as he recovers from knee surgery last spring.
