(BOSTON, MA) - Boston is going on to the playoffs and Cleveland is going home after the Red Sox completed a four-game series sweep with a 12-7 win over the Indians at Fenway Park.
Jed Lowrie hit his first career grand slam with JD Drew hitting two solo home runs and Dustin Pedroia adding a two-run shot for the Red Sox.
The Indians end the season losing their last five games.
It was the final game as Cleveland Manager for Eric Wedge, who was notified he would not be returning earlier in the week.
