(DETROIT, MI) - The Detroit Tigers lived to play another day as they defeated the Chicago White Sox 5-3, snapping a three-game losing streak.
Ryan Raburn homered twice to back the pitching of Justin Werlander.
Verlander allowed three runs on six hits over seven and two-thirds innings to improve to 19 and 9.
Detroit's win combined with Minnesota's win over Kansas City forces a tiebreaker game for the American League Central Crown Tuesday night in Minneapolis.
Brent Lillibridge had a two-run single for the Sox, who finish third in the central.
