(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Joseph Addai hit Reggie Wayne with a 22-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the fourth quarter as the Indianapolis Colts remained undefeated, beating the San Francisco 49ers 18-14.
The halfback option pass climaxed a maddening day for the Colts offense, which had not been able to reach the end zone despite plenty of opportunities.
San Francisco jumped out to an early lead when Frank Gore raced 64 yards for a score on the 9ers first possession.
Indianapolis never had the lead until Addai hit Wayne with 14:53 left in the contest.
With the win, the Colts improve to 7 and 0 as they host the Houston Texans this Sunday.
The 49ers fall to 3 and 4.
