Decision On Future Of Weis Is Expected Soon

(SOUTH BEND, IN) - A decision is expected shortly concerning the future of Notre Dame football coach Charlie Weis.

The Fighting Irish lost Saturday night at Stanford 45-38 to fall to 6-6 on the season.

Notre Dame has lost their last four games but are eligible for a postseason bowl game.

Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick has said that a decision regarding Weis would come within a week of the Stanford game.

Weis returned to South Bend with the team after a planned west coast recruiting trip was cancelled.
