(TALLADEGA, AL) - Jamie McMurray got the win and Jimmie Johnson extended his points lead at Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway.
McMurray won under caution after a pair of crashes involving sprint cup chase competitors Ryan Newman and Mark martin.
Neither driver was injured. Kasey Kahne finished second with Rookie Joey Logano third and Greg Biffle and Jeff Burton rounding out the top five.
Johnson finished sixth and holds a 184-point lead over Martin, who wound up 28th.
Three races remain in the season as the Sprint Cup drivers are at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday afternoon.
