One Final Practice For Colts Before Sunday's Showdown With Pats

Last updated on Friday, November 13, 2009

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts will hold a final full-scale practice today as they prepare for their Sunday night game with the New England Patriots.

The Colts have won four of the last five meetings between the two rivals, including the 2006 AFC Championship game.

Indianapolis won last year's matchup 18-15, but Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady missed that game after suffering a season-ending knee injury during week one.

Brady is back this season and has led New England to a 6-2 record and first place in the AFC East. The Colts are one of two undefeated teams in the NFL at 8-0.

They lead the Patriots, Steelers, Bengals and Broncos by two games in the race for the best record in the AFC.

Colts Defensive End Dwight Freeney returned to practice on Thursday after sitting out Wednesday's workout to rest.

The remainder of the injury report is the same as Wednesday's with wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez, defensive back Kelvin Hayden and kicker Adam Vinatieri missing practice due to knee injuries and backup quarterback Jim Sorgi not participating due to a sore throwing shoulder.

Gonzalez and Vinatieri are coming off surgery and neither was expected back this week. Hayden is expected to miss at least another week after spraining his knee against San Francisco two weeks ago.
