(ST. THOMAS, VI) - The Purdue Boilermakers are champions of the US Virgin Islands Paradise Jam, edging eleventh-ranked Tennessee 73-72 in the title game.
E'Twaun Moore led the sixth-ranked Boilers with 22 points with Robbie Hummel finishing with 20 points and JaJuan Johnson scoring eleven despite being in foul trouble most of the night.
Tennessee's Wayne Chism led all scorers with 24 points but missed a three-point attempt in the final seconds to give Purdue the win.
Bobby Maze finished with 13 points for the Volunteers with Tyler Smith adding ten as Tennessee falls to 4-1.
The Boilermakers are 4-0 as they return home to face Central Michigan on Saturday.
