(ST. THOMAS, VI) - The Purdue Boilermakers used a big second half to defeat St. Joseph’s 85-60 to advance to the championship game of the US Virgin Islands Paradise Jam.
The seventh-ranked Boilers led 31-30 at intermission, but opened the second half with a 23-3 run to take command.
JaJuan Johnson led Purdue with 18 points and twelve rebounds with Ryne Smith adding 16 points.
Garrett Williamson was the only St. Joseph's player to reach double figures, finishing with eleven points as the Hawks fall to 3-1.
The Boilermakers improve to 3-0 and will face eleventh-ranked Tennessee in tonight's championship game in St. Thomas.
