(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - The Indiana Hoosiers staged a comeback from a 23-point deficit to take the lead, but Loyola of Maryland hit their free throws down the stretch as the Greyhounds got past IU 72-67 at Assembly Hall.
Loyola opened the game with a 15-0 run and held a 46-23 lead late in the first half before IU closed with a 5-0 run to cut the deficit to 18 at intermission.
Indiana took its first lead when Jeremiah Rivers scored with 3:48 remaining to put the Hoosiers up 64-62.
Brett Harvey, who led all scorers with 25 points, gave Loyola the lead for good when he hit a three-pointer with 1:50 left and was fouled, hitting the free throw to put the Greyhounds up 69-67.
Rivers led Indiana with 15 points as the Hoosiers fall to 5-6.
The Hoosiers host Bryant on Monday night.
