(NEW YORK, NY) - Verdell Jones scored a season-high 20 points and Christian Watford added 18 as the Indiana Hoosiers knocked off the Pitt Panthers 74-64 in the second game of the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden.
The Hoosiers held Pitt to 31-percent shooting from the field as IU Head Coach Tom Crean picked up his 200th career win.
Ashton Gibbs led the Panthers with 24 points with Brad Wanamaker finishing with 18 points and Dante Taylor adding twelve as Pitt falls to 7-2.
The Hoosiers are 4-4 heading to a home game Saturday afternoon with the fourth ranked Kentucky Wildcats.
