(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - The Purdue Boilermakers will try to start a new winning streak tonight when they welcome the Ohio State Buckeyes to Mackey Arena.
The sixth-ranked Boilers tied the school record by winning their first 14 games before losing to Wisconsin 73-66 Saturday afternoon in Madison.
Purdue struggled shooting against the Badgers, hitting just three of ten shots from three-point range while missing eleven of their 24 free throw attempts.
E'twaun Moore scored a game-high 24 points for the Boilermakers.
The loss dropped Purdue to 2-1 in Big Ten play. The Buckeyes are 11-5 but have struggled in conference play, opening 1-3 in the Big Ten.
Their latest setback came on Saturday when they lost to Minnesota 73-62 in Minneapolis.
Ohio State has dominated the series in recent years, winning 16 of the last 20 meetings.
Purdue has won the last two, beating the Buckeyes last February in West Lafayette before eliminating Ohio State in last year's Big Ten Tournament.
