(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - The Purdue Boilermakers tied the school record for the best start in history as they knocked off Minnesota 79-60 at Mackey Arena.
Robbie Hummel and E'Twaun Moore led the fourth-ranked Boilers with 18 points apiece with Hummel also grabbing eleven rebounds.
JaJuan Johnson added a double-double of 16 points and ten boards as the Boilers improve to 14-0, tying the 1993-94 squad for most consecutive wins to start a season.
The Golden Gophers had a seven-game winning streak snapped.
Paul Carter led Minnesota with 15 points with Damian Johnson finishing with twelve as the Gophers fall to 11-4, 2-1 in the Big Ten.
Purdue is at Wisconsin to take on the 20th-ranked Badgers on Saturday.
