(VALPARAISO, IN) - The Valparaiso Crusaders edged Youngstown State 70-66 to snap a three-game losing streak.
Brandon McPherson led the Crusaders with 22 points with Brandon Wood adding 20 as Valpo improved to 7-11 overall, 2-4 in Horizon League play.
Deandre Mays led the Penguins with 20 points as YSU overcame a twelve-point halftime deficit to take the lead briefly in the second half.
Youngstown State drops to 7-9, 2-5 in the conference.
The Crusaders host Cleveland State on Saturday afternoon.
