(SOUTH BEND, IN) - Fifth-ranked Syracuse was too much for Notre Dame as they defeated the Fighting Irish 84-71 at Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center.
Wesley Johnson led the Orange with 22 points with Andy Rautins adding 21 and Arinze Onuaku finishing with 13 points.
Luke Harangody led all scorers with 31 points and 14 rebounds with Tim Abromaitis finishing with 26 points for Notre Dame.
Syracuse has won five in a row to improve to 18-1 overall, 5-1 in Big East play.
The Irish suffered just their second home loss of the season as they drop to 14-5, 3-3 in the conference.
Notre Dame is off until Saturday afternoon when they host the DePaul Blue Demons.
